The Grapevine Newsletter 14-12-2022
Principal's Message
Well done to all of our senior students who participated in HeadStart and Step Up weeks. This opportunity to prepare for next year’s studies has helped these students get a better understanding of what to expect in 2023 and allowed them to begin preparations early, maximising success for next year.
All of our students enjoyed Transition Day on Tuesday 6th January, meeting their new class mates and getting a feel for their new subjects and teachers. Thank you to all of the staff for ensuring this day was such a success, and welcome to our new students.
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who celebrated their graduation on Friday, 9th December. This is a significant milestone for all of our year 6 students as they prepare for the start of their secondary schooling.
Thank you to all of our staff and our external facilitators for making our Activities Week such a fun and engaging week for our students. They had a great time and it was a lovely way to finish off the term.
Congratulations to our Year 12 students including our VCE students on their excellent VCE results. A special mention to Nathan Zappia for his outstanding results. We are very proud of all of you Congratulations to all of our students who received awards during our Achievement Night and a very big thank you to all of our sponsors and partners, who helped us to make it such a successful night.
Please join me in welcoming new ES Integration Aide, Nonga Unufe, who has recently started with us.
On behalf of Robinvale College, I would like to farewell the following staff: Stephanie Shanahan, Katie Clements, Cathy Ferguson, Bree Marr, Narelle McClure, Jeff Jensen, Donald Ritchie, Taylor Edwards and Hiranthi Punchihewa. We are grateful for their dedication and hard work over the years and wish them all the best for the future. They will all be missed.
Thank you for all of your support and trust in my leadership over the last 5 years, as Principal. I am returning to Adelaide, to take on a primary school Principal role where I can be closer to my daughter and my family. I know that the DET Regional staff will ensure that the new Principal is just as dedicated to the community and our students and I will support their transition into the role, as best I can. I have enjoyed being a part of the Robinvale community and working with so many wonderful people and organisations to provide the best opportunities for our students and our community, as we can.
Students will return to school on Monday 30th January, 2023.
I wish you all the best for a happy and relaxing school holiday and New Year break and hope that you all enjoy some fun times with family and friends.
