Principal's Reports
This week signalled another step forward for our students. This week students have been placed in groups that will give them the support they need. Students in years 7-10 have been placed either a ‘Mainstream’ or ‘Extension’ class in English, Humanities, Maths and Science. The intention is to provide students working towards their expected level or beyond it get the support they require. The work will be the same for each of the groups, the difference will lay in the level and type of learning support they receive. You can learn more about these and other changes on our website or look out for the letter that has been sent home.
Open Night
Last Wednesday the College hosted our Open night. I was enormously proud of the staff and students who did a magnificent job of preparing the college for our visitors. I’d like to acknowledge Molly Bivolcheff,Tehilla Damuni,Scarlett Dao,Latai Masila-Liutolo and Reanne Hatt who were our tour guides on the night and every staff member for their positive contribution to the Open Night. Look out for the mini tours on our face book page in the weeks to come. I invite current and prospective parents to make an appointment for a private tour of the college.

Clontarf Employment Forum
Last week I accompanied Clontarf staff and students to the Clontarf Employment Forum. The students mixed with others from Ballarat and Mildura, they learned about jobs available at many companies. The ones that stood out to me were Bunnings, MDAS, Reece’s Plumbing, KMART, and Woolworths each representative gave the boys a lot of useful information about employment opportunities available through them. The basketball game after the forum was entertaining and highlighted the camaraderie between the Clontarf students and their mentors.

Staying Covid, Flu and cold safe.
Winter is almost here, and we are already feeling the effects of colds, flu and Covid. Thank you very much to all our parents who are keeping sick children home. At school we are trying to combat the spread of illness by providing plenty of hand sanitiser and masks and the air purifiers are being used in every room. We have plenty of RAT (COVID) tests available, if you have run out at home just phone ahead to arrange collection or ask your child to ask for some at the front office.

Welcome to our new Staff
Sunil (Sunny) Handy
While I’ve spent most of my life in Swan Hill, I’m happy to say Robinvale is my hometown. After doing Grade 1 at Robinvale Consolidated and Grade 2 at Robinvale P-12 College, my schooling was done mostly in Swan Hill, and then later at Geelong Grammar School. I’ve spent the last couple years in Melbourne attending university and doing landscaping work. Currently I’m doing Classroom Support with the Grade 4/5s. I’ve loved the first few weeks I’ve been at Robinvale College and have felt very welcomed by the school community. Despite only working in the primary school, I feel like I’ve gotten to know most of the students and staff, who have all been up for a wave or a chat. I’ve really appreciated the personality of the school and the character shown by the community already.
Rohan Schloithe
I was born and raised here in Robinvale. doing my schooling at Robinvale Consolidated School and Years 7 to 12 at Robinvale Secondary College.
I am at the school as the Specialist IT Technician / Local Technician. I had spent from 2006 to 2020 as the Local IT Technician at Robinvale College, I have taken a couple years off to refresh and came back to help support IT in the school again.
First (renewed) impressions: A lot of positive improvements have been made in the two years I had been away, and it was great to be welcomed back to the school by the staff. It is almost like I haven’t left.

I grew up in Robinvale and completed my studies at the local schools in Robinvale. Then I went on to do my diploma of early childhood in Mildura at Sunitafe.
I am currently working with the year 1 and 2 class as an ES staff member and so far enjoying every moment of it.
